Ingredients
- 450 G Penne pasta
- 2 Tbsp Olive oil
- 1 Onion, finely chopped
- 3-4 Garlic cloves, minced
- ½ Tbsp Red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- ½ Cup Vodka
- 1 can Tomato Paste (156ML/5.5oz)
- 2-3 Tbsp Butter
- ½ Cup Heavy Cream
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- ½ Cup Grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Cook the PenneBring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the penne pasta and cook until al dente according to the package instructions. Drain the pasta and set it aside.
- Sauté the AromaticsIn a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté for about 3 minutes until it becomes translucent. Add red pepper flakes and minced garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Create the SauceRemove the skillet from the heat and carefully pour in the vodka. Return it to the heat and simmer for about 5 minutes, allowing the alcohol to evaporate. Add the tomato paste and simmer for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally Reduce the heat to low, then pour in the heavy cream and stir until well combined. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
