Chicken Parm Sandwich

Craving something indulgent yet homemade? This Chicken Parm Sandwich is a must-try! Juicy chicken breast coated in crispy breadcrumbs, topped with rich tomato sauce, melty Mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese. To make it even better, I’ve added a dollop of pesto sauce on the top bun. Optional fresh basil leaves for that extra burst of flavour!

Ingredients
  

  • 4 Chicken breasts, sliced in half and pounded thin
  • 1 Cup Italian bread crumbs
  • 1 Cup Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 Cups Tomato sauce
  • 2 Cups Mozzarella cheese
  • 4 Sandwich buns
  • 1 Cup Pesto
  • Fresh basil leaves (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for frying

Instructions
 

  • Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  • Coat the chicken breasts in bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese mixture.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and shallow fry the chicken breasts until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Place your buns on a baking sheet. Add your chicken to each bun, spoon tomato sauce over them, and sprinkle with Mozzarella cheese.
  • Bake for 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Spread pesto sauce on the top bun.
  • Add fresh basil leaves if desired
  • Serve hot and enjoy!
