- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 shallot, sliced
- 4-5 strips cooked bacon, chopped
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
- Balsamic glaze or honey, for drizzling
Instructions
- Prepare the Brussels Sprouts: Clean and halve the Brussels sprouts, removing any outer leaves that are damaged.
- Cook in a Skillet: Toss the halved Brussels sprouts in olive oil, salt, and pepper. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and place the Brussels sprouts cut side down in the pan.
- Flip and Brown:Let the cut sides cook until golden brown, about 3-5 minutes. Flip the sprouts and continue cooking until the other side is golden brown as well.
- Add Flavor: Reduce the heat to medium. Add minced garlic, chopped shallots, and cooked bacon to the skillet. Stir everything together and cook for another 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
- Serve and Garnish: Remove from heat and transfer the Brussels sprouts to a serving dish. Garnish with grated Parmesan, chopped parsley, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze or honey. Serve immediately.
