Chicken Parm Sandwich
Craving something indulgent yet homemade? This Chicken Parm Sandwich is a must-try! Juicy chicken breast coated in crispy breadcrumbs, topped with rich tomato sauce, melty Mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese. To make it even better, I’ve added a dollop of pesto sauce on the top bun. Optional fresh basil leaves for that extra burst of flavour!
Ingredients
- 4 Chicken breasts, sliced in half and pounded thin
- 1 Cup Italian bread crumbs
- 1 Cup Grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 Cups Tomato sauce
- 2 Cups Mozzarella cheese
- 4 Sandwich buns
- 1 Cup Pesto
- Fresh basil leaves (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for frying
Instructions
- Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- Coat the chicken breasts in bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese mixture.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and shallow fry the chicken breasts until golden brown and cooked through.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Place your buns on a baking sheet. Add your chicken to each bun, spoon tomato sauce over them, and sprinkle with Mozzarella cheese.
- Bake for 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Spread pesto sauce on the top bun.
- Add fresh basil leaves if desired
- Serve hot and enjoy!
